Hannah & husband Peter, sons Angus & Lachy, & daughter Harriet live on ‘Granada Station’ & are part of the Hacon Family conglomerate of pastoral stations. ‘Granada’ is 100 km north of Cloncurry & Peter’s parents Peter Snr & Fran live on the station also sharing the love of the land & cattle with them. Harriet has just finished grade 12, Lachy will go into grade 11 at Churchie in 2017 & Angus will go into grade 6 & has booked himself into Toowoomba Prep for 2017 because he’s tired of being the only ‘kid’ left at home. Pride speaks volumes & listening to Peter & Hannah talk about their children you know the love they have & how proud they are cannot be captured in words.

Hannah, an entrepreneur by spirit, purchased a shop in Mount Isa called ‘Worn Out West’ in 2009. It carries a beautiful range of current western apparel & horse supplies & caters to the vast areas of the Gulf, Northern Territory & throughout QLD. She has worked very hard over the years in the business & is now widely respected as a dependable, trustworthy honest & all-round lovely person to deal with. She has expanded the business to include an online shop & employs 1 full time & 2 part time ladies.

A natural talent behind the lens of a camera, one of Hannah’s budding passions is photographing the competitors at the campdrafts they go to. Competing is not her forte so to keep herself interested whilst spectating, she took up photography & we’re all very thankful she did for she has an innate ability to capture the essence of the sport with perfection. Her photos have been blown up & don the walls of many who compete & the memories captured with horses whom are loved like they are family, is priceless.

Spend 5 minutes with Hannah & you’ll understand why never a wry word will be cast her way for her infectious smile, positive outlook & her enthusiasm for life catches us all hoping a little can rub off on us!
